We are a collective of yoga instructors who are passionate about yoga education, creating community, and providing safe and inclusive spaces for all.

 

We strive to live our yoga every day, above all else practicing ahimsa (nonharming) in thought, word, and deed.

OUR STORY

Live. Breathe. Grow. originated in 2010. At first it was a yoga clothing company, then transitioned to a brick and mortar yoga studio, and finally, due to the pandemic in 2020, moved to a hybrid model (online/in-person) yoga studio and academy.

LBG was established in the US by owner Nancy Buckle. In 2016, she moved her family back to her home in rural Northern Canada. There she established a brick and mortar yoga studio.

Nancy's passion has always been to create community, and so with the creation of a 200 Yoga Teacher Training, she began building a collective of yoga instructors. From these initial trainings came most of the faculty and community teachers of Live. Breathe. Grow.

Now our tiny rural town is a hotspot for yoga instruction and education! Since those early days several instructors who began their training elsewhere have joined our community, including Andrea Coombs, and Debbie Brown. They bring with them yoga expertise obtained through years of training and commitment to their yoga practice, on and off the mat.

In 2023 we are pleased to offer a wide variety of yoga trainings for every student and budget. These trainings are accessed through our Yoga Academy: 200 & 300 Hr Yoga Teacher Trainings; 100 Hr Therapeutic Yoga Training; and a full suite of 20 Hr Yoga Trainings.

As for yoga classes, our studio is a hub that provides opportunities for our teacher collective to offer yoga classes to the community. Classes are offered through Membership or Individual Series registration, and more information can be found on the Schedule page.

Nancy Buckle

STUDIO OWNER AND LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Nancy is the owner of Live. Breathe. Grow. She is a dedicated community builder, inspired and driven to support women as they navigate life transitions, challenges, and joy. Her enthusiasm, positive energy, and lively spirit are at the heart of everything she does - AND it's contagious!

Andrea Coombs

LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Andrea is passionate about nature appreciation and connecting deeply to Mother Earth through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. Her life mission is to be a conduit for knowledge and wonder, and she is excited to share her love of yoga with her students.

Debbie Brown

LEAD INSTRUCTOR 

Debbie came to yoga after being a boxer for 14 years. Yoga became a source of solace and peace. She returned to Corner Brook after living away for 25 years and is grateful to live in a gorgeous landscape where she can get outside to hike, paddle, or play in the snow all year long.

Janelle Doman

INSTRUCTOR

Janelle believes that working towards emotional, spiritual and physical wellness requires a holistic approach and loves to blend her counselling practices with yoga teachings and to share the love and accessibility of great, nurturing food!  She works with adults and children through her yoga and counselling practices, though she is particularly passionate about working with youth and adolescents.

Connie Abbass

INSTRUCTOR

Connie Abbass, ND, M Ed, is a Certified Yoga Therapist, Trainer, and Teacher. As a Yoga Therapist, Connie combines traditional wisdom and evidence-based yoga practice, in response to human suffering and life-altering events. She uses a combination of holistic therapeutic techniques and yogic principles and practices to help her clients approach healing through yoga. Connie is currently accepting new clients.

Jana Fenske

INSTRUCTOR

Jana discovered her passion for yoga when attending classes a few moons ago in her community (Pasadena). Her love for stretching and moving slow seemed to synced with the yoga philosophy. Jana is looking forward to welcoming you to our L.B.G. family.

Margie Colbourne

COMMUNITY TEACHER

Margie started yoga many years ago but did not realize at that time how important yoga would become in her life. Her desire is to make yoga assessable to all bodies at all stages of life. Margie’s classes are focused on developing mind & body awareness with strength, stretch & balance while having fun! 

Joyce Hynes

COMMUNITY TEACHER

Joyce’s calm teaching style is inclusive to all. By providing a soft nurturing environment, she encourages her students to move at their own pace, adapt poses to suit their bodies, and most of all, to enjoy their yoga journey.

Chelsea Clarke

COMMUNITY TEACHER

My name is Chelsea Clarke and I have a very active, happy little boy who I spend most of my time with. I strongly believe in the motto ‘exercise is for ANY body.’ I want people to feel motivated and comfortable when coming to see me... and of course, to be able to have fun while doing it!
