Connie Abbass
INSTRUCTOR
Connie Abbass, ND, M Ed, is a Certified Yoga Therapist, Trainer, and Teacher. Connie first came to yoga for the physical benefits of the practice but quickly discovered that her yoga mat was more than a surface on which to exercise and rather a place where she could surrender. Connie decided to enroll in her first teacher training, with the intention of deepening her own practice. Little did she know that this first training would be the catalyst to real change. After extensive study she began to curate classes, trainings, and courses through a body-centered, trauma-aware lens. She has developed and led Chair Yoga trainings, facilitated workshops, has been a guest teacher in 200 hr Yoga Teacher Trainings, and co created Om School Yoga. In addition to these offerings, she is now offering Yoga Therapy to her community - a missing piece that she believes completes the puzzle in modern day health care. As a Yoga Therapist, Connie combines traditional wisdom and evidence-based yoga practice, in response to human suffering and life-altering events. She uses a combination of holistic therapeutic techniques and yogic principles and practices to help her clients approach healing through yoga. These deeply therapeutic practices for healing provide the keys to self-discovery, well-being, and transformation. Connie is currently accepting new clients.
