Margie started yoga many years ago but did not realize at that time how important yoga would become in her life. Her interest in anatomy and the effects of movement on the body & mind inspired her to learn more about how the physical body & mind works to keep us healthy at all stages of life. This curiosity deepened once she retired from healthcare, when she enrolled in 200 hr yoga teachers training with Nancy Buckle, with the intention to deepen her understanding of how the body & mind could improve her own personal practice. She completed 500 hr certification with My Vinyasa Practice. She received certifications in restorative/trauma sensitive training, yin yoga, chair yoga, healthy aging workshops & continues always to be a student learning from yoga teachers and from students.
She teaches Gentle, Yin, Restorative & Chair yoga. Her recent desire is to make yoga assessable to all bodies at all stages of life. Margie’s classes are focused on developing mind & body awareness with strength, stretch & balance while having fun!
