In this workshop we are going to explore an issue that impacts the daily quality of life of 6 million Canadians, Arthritis. Today in Canada, one in four women and one in six men have arthritis.
We will focus focus on Osteoarthritis, a progressive condition and, although there is no cure, and damage to the joints cannot be reversed, we can do many things to help make people more comfortable, manage symptoms and improve quality of life. The physical practice of Yoga can help with the condition by strengthening muscles, supporting joints, improving alignment, and releasing endorphins. We will also explore breath work, and meditation as a tool for pain management.
